About the Artist
As a spectator to the unfolding
beauty of the life cycle of the seasons,
I am constantly amazed and
captivated by its performance.
Resiliency in nature is
comforting and constant.
As a landscape artist with the knowledge that seasons never display themselves in the same manner a second time,
I am provided with a continual source
of inspiration which
is subject to unpredictable changes.
Even in the most rugged, messy, and chaotic parts the forest has to offer, there is also a singular beauty to be found which
endures and thrives. My paintings convey
this fluid and chaotic beauty.
Experience with nature is the driving force
behind my compositions.
The balance of line, shape, value, form and
colour bring this experience together into thoughtful paintings that are at once
abstract and representational.
